Welcoming Our New Packaging Designer: Greg Greiner!

Welcoming Our New Packaging Designer: Greg Greiner!
We’re excited to welcome Greg Greiner to the PSI Design Team! Greg joins us as a Packaging Engineer and brings with him fresh energy, a strong work ethic, and a passion for solving real-world problems through design and innovation.
Originally from Loudoun County, Virginia, Greg is a recent graduate of Virginia Tech, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Packaging Systems & Design. Greg was first introduced to PSI during his time at Virginia Tech, where he connected with President Chris Litzinger and VP of Human Resources Becky Kline at the CNRE Career Fair. He also had the opportunity to take classes alongside our current designer, Molly Trinh, and later participated in a PSI-sponsored Senior Capstone Project. These experiences gave Greg valuable insight into PSI’s culture and confirmed it was the right place to begin his career.

Although at the start of his professional journey, Greg brings meaningful insight and experience to the table. In a previous role with a delivery service provider, he gained hands-on exposure to last-mile logistics, deepening his understanding of how packaging choices affect the efficiency and effectiveness of an entire operation. This experience sharpened his skills in time management, process improvement, and practical problem-solving.

“What excites me most is applying what I’ve learned in school to real-world challenges,” Greg shares. “I want to contribute, help people, and become someone the team can count on.”

When asked what drew him to PSI, Greg didn’t hesitate:

“The people,” he said. “Everyone here is kind, supportive, and genuinely welcoming. It’s a team that values its employees, and the family-owned environment makes a real difference. The work is engaging and rewarding—I love being able to create, problem-solve, and learn on the go.”

Greg is already showing an ability to think critically, ask thoughtful questions, and bring a fresh perspective to the Design Team. He thrives on visual problem-solving and hands-on work—skills that align perfectly with PSI’s creative and collaborative approach.

Outside of work, Greg is a true D.C. sports fan and a lover of all things comedy. Whether he’s watching a Nationals game, listening to a Capitals broadcast on the radio, or tuning in to his favorite stand-up comedians, he brings that same curiosity and enthusiasm into everything he does.

We’re thrilled to have Greg on board and excited to see all he’ll accomplish as he grows with us!

Greg’s hiring reflects our growing relationship with Virginia Tech’s Packaging Systems & Design Department—a partnership we are proud to continue developing.

Over the past two years, PSI has collaborated with Virginia Tech students on senior design capstone projects that bridge classroom concepts with real-world packaging challenges. These initiatives provide students with valuable hands-on experience in technical design, while offering PSI the opportunity to mentor and recruit emerging talent like Greg.

We take pride in our partnership with Virginia Tech, which supports the growth and evolution of the packaging industry. Collaborating with the next generation of professionals keeps us at the forefront of industry advancements and drives continuous innovation at PSI.

Stay tuned for an inside look at this year’s capstone project and the impressive solution the students developed!
